Josette Lovercheck is a wife, mom, educator and entrepreneur and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Her story begins after being ghosted by an Etsy shop for an embroidered birthday shirt just weeks before her little boy’s 1 year photo shoot. She scrambled for a last-minute replacement but was less than pleased with the results.
Fast forward to spring break 2020. School was closed due to the shutdown and the time at home presented an opportunity for her to explore her creative side. She purchased her first single needle embroidery machine and Cricut machine, along with remembering her sewing skills learned in high school and a few tutorials, she made her first embroidered shirt for her son to wear at his third birthday party.
Now, each project looks better than the last for her small business focusing on children’s embroidered shirts and Greek letter paraphernalia.
